The car started and lived life as a '90 CRX HF for 14 years, until I bought it in so-so condition in the Fall of '04. It was easy to call it The Ricer, since it had clear taillights, fart can, "JDM" parts, a large dash mounted Tach, etc...
When I bought the car, it did not pass VA safety inspection due to the parking lights not working. I got the lights working, by running a new power feed; however, the main issue was found a little later when working behind the dash I found a bunch of cut wires, which were not tape off and were bouncing around touching bare metal.
Besides getting the car ready for inspection, I spent a bunch of time cleaning the car and getting rid of the unecessary items. Once the car passed inspection, I started to get the car ready for track days and Autocrossing. Below is the list of "upgrades" that have been performed and a list of future upgrades.
As I mentioned on the main page, my goal for this car is to have a solid performing car at a low cost. There is a perception that you need to spend big dollars to be competitive and I want to see if I can break that perception.
